1. What Whatsjob does

Whatsjob connects people looking for blue-collar and entry-level work with local employers. We collect job seeker profiles, talk to employers about their vacancies, and share suitable profiles with employers.

Whatsjob is a facilitator. We are not the employer of any job seeker, and we do not act as anyone’s agent. The job offer, wages and working conditions are agreed directly between the employer and the job seeker.

You must be at least 18 years old to register or to use the service.

2. Job seekers

• The service is completely free for job seekers. Registration, job matching and placement cost nothing.
• Whatsjob, our staff and our associates will never ask you for money, a deposit, a “registration fee”, a commission, a gift, or anything else in return for a job. If anyone asks you for money in Whatsjob’s name, do not pay and report it to us on +91 99631 40558.
• The details you give us (name, phone number, skills, experience, area, expected salary and any other details) must be true and your own. Please tell us if anything changes.
• When you tick the consent box, you allow us to store your profile and share it with verified employers for job opportunities, as explained in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• We do not guarantee a job, an interview, a particular salary, or that an employer will reply. We will try our best to match you with suitable work.
• You are free to accept or refuse any job offer.
• Video profile (optional): you may send a short video of yourself to our centre’s WhatsApp number. Our staff add it to your profile only if you agree that it may be shown to employers. Employers can watch it only after your profile is shared with them, through a private link. You can ask us to remove your video at any time.

Safety tips for job seekers:

• Never pay anyone for a job, a uniform, training, a “security deposit” or a medical test that an employer asks you to pay for in advance.
• Meet employers at their workplace or a public place, during the day. Tell a family member where you are going.
• Do not hand over your original Aadhaar, PAN, certificates or bank cards. Show originals only when needed and keep them with you.
• Never share an OTP, PIN or password with anyone.
• Ask for the salary, working hours, weekly off and work location before you join, and get it in writing if possible.

3. Employers

If you register as an employer or post a vacancy with us, you agree that:

• You will post only genuine, existing vacancies, and the details you give us (business name, contact person, location, role, number of positions, salary) are true.
• You will not ask job seekers for any fee, deposit, advance, or payment of any kind, and you will not deduct such amounts from their wages.
• You will pay at least the applicable minimum wages, and follow all labour laws that apply to you, including laws on working hours, overtime, wage payment, safety, equal pay, social security, and the prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace.
• You will not employ children or adolescents in breach of the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, and you will never use bonded or forced labour.
• You will not discriminate against job seekers on the basis of religion, caste, gender, disability or any other ground prohibited by law.
• You will treat job seekers with respect, and you will tell us if a vacancy is filled or withdrawn.

We may verify your business before sharing any profiles, and we may refuse or stop service if we cannot.

Employer panel: if you use the online employer login, you must keep your password secret and not share your login. You are responsible for everything done under your login. Tell us at once on WhatsApp if you think someone else has used it. Every vacancy you post is checked by our staff before candidates are shown, and we may edit, reject or close a vacancy that breaks these Terms. Candidate contact details are shown only after your business is verified, and each unlocked profile uses one profile from your package.

4. Resume packages for employers

A resume package is a set number of candidate profiles that an employer pays for. The price, number of profiles and any validity period are confirmed to you before payment.

• Profiles are shared only for candidates who have given consent.
• Once a profile has been unlocked or shared with you, the fee for that package is not refundable. If no profiles have been unlocked yet, contact us and we will consider your request.
• You may use the profiles only to contact candidates about a job with your own business. You must not sell, rent, share, publish or give the profiles to anyone else, or use them for marketing.
• You must keep the profiles safe, and delete them (including copies and downloads) once your hiring for that role is over, or when we ask you to.
• Sharing a profile does not mean the candidate will accept your offer.

5. Payments

• Employers pay Whatsjob only for the services they choose, such as resume packages or a placement fee, at the price we confirm in writing (on WhatsApp, email or an invoice) before payment.
• Pay only to the official Whatsjob or Gowri Foundation account details given by us. Do not pay any individual in cash unless we confirm it in writing, and always ask for a receipt.
• Applicable taxes, if any, will be shown on the invoice.
• Job seekers never pay anything.

6. Associates

Associates are local partners (for example Mee Seva centres, xerox shops or contractors) who help us register workers and find local employers. If you join as an associate, you agree that:

• Joining is free. There is no deposit or joining fee.
• Your earnings are paid as service fees under your written associate agreement with Gowri Foundation. The standard share is 80% of the resume package fee paid by employers linked to you, and any other fee is as stated in your agreement. The agreement prevails if it says something different.
• Fees are paid only after the employer’s payment is received by us and the work is confirmed. Tax will be deducted at source (TDS) where applicable under the Income-tax Act, and you may need to give your PAN.
• You will never charge job seekers any fee, deposit, commission or gift, in cash or kind, for anything related to Whatsjob.
• You will register workers only with their own informed consent, after explaining these Terms and our Privacy Policy to them, and you will enter correct details.
• You will keep the personal data of workers and employers private, use it only for Whatsjob, and not copy, sell or share it.
• You will not make false promises of jobs or salaries, and you will not represent yourself as an employee of Whatsjob.
• Either side may end the arrangement by written notice (WhatsApp or email is enough). We may suspend or end it immediately, and withhold fees for the work concerned, if you break these Terms or the agreement, or if we receive a genuine complaint about you. Fees already earned for genuine work will be settled as per the agreement.

7. Things you must not do

• Give false details, register on behalf of someone without their consent, or pretend to be someone else.
• Post fake, misleading or illegal jobs, or jobs that involve any illegal activity.
• Collect money from job seekers in Whatsjob’s name.
• Misuse personal data shared through Whatsjob, or contact people for anything other than the job concerned.
• Harass, threaten or cheat any person.
• Try to break, overload or misuse the website, chatbot or admin systems, or copy data from them by automated means.

8. Suspension and removal

We may refuse, suspend or remove any job seeker, employer, vacancy or associate, without notice, if we believe these Terms have been broken, if information is false, or to protect job seekers. Where the law requires it, we may report misuse to the police or other authorities.

9. Indemnity

Employers and associates agree to indemnify and keep Gowri Foundation and Whatsjob, and their directors, staff and volunteers, harmless against any loss, claim, penalty or legal cost arising from their breach of these Terms, their breach of any law (including labour and data protection laws), or their dealings with job seekers.

10. Limits of our responsibility

Please read our Disclaimer. To the extent allowed by law, Whatsjob is not responsible for the acts of employers, job seekers or third parties, and our total liability to any user is limited to the amount (if any) that the user paid to Whatsjob in the three months before the claim.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change, the updated Terms apply. For important changes, we will try to inform registered users.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to solve any problem. Subject to that, the courts at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, will have exclusive jurisdiction.
